Ashiesh Roy Requests Hospital To Discharge Him, Says “I Can’t Continue Staying Here Even If I Were To Die Tomorrow”

TV actor Ashiesh Roy had been admitted to the ICU two days back for dialysis. The actor, who is a known face in the TV industry and has also been a part of a couple of Bollywood films has now requested the hospital to discharge him since he does not have money left for treatment. He also said that he cannot afford the hospital even if ‘I were to die tomorrow’.

Talking to TOI, Ashiesh said that he had already been facing a money crunch and the situation got worse due to the coronavirus outbreak. He said, “I had savings of Rs 2 lakh, which I spent during the first two days of being hospitalised. First, I was tested for COVID-19, which cost me around Rs 11,000, followed by other expenses. I spent around 90,000 on a single round of dialysis. I have to undergo a treatment, which will cost me Rs 4 lakh, but I don’t have the money to pay for it. So, I want to go back home, as I can’t afford the treatment. I am seeking financial aid from people so that I can clear my medical bills to get discharged. I can’t continue staying here even if I were to die tomorrow.”

He also added that his condition has worsened and now he needs to get a dialysis done every two weeks. He is also aware that he needs time and money to recover and thus is ready to do any work to sustain himself. He added, “ I know that I can get back to work, and so, I am requesting my industry friends to help me with that. I don’t mind playing any character, I just need to keep going.”

Ashiesh’s co-star from Rishta Sanjhedaari Ka, Sooraj Thapar had earlier written to NGOs to seek help for him. He has revealed that his sister, who stays in Kolkata, has sent some money for him. Many other stars have also transferred money. However, the actor needs more money since they don’t know how long the treatment has to continue. We sincerely hope that Ashiesh finds a way out of the monetary crisis and gets proper treatment in time. We are praying for his speedy recovery.
