Baal Veer Actress Shama Sikander Was To Get Married In September, Reveals The Wedding Is On Hold Now

It was back in 2016 that Shama Sikander gave all her fans and followers a pleasant surprise with the news of her engagement. She has been engaged to American businessman James Milliron for almost four years now. Fans had always wanted to know when she would tie the knot! Well, it was all set to happen this year in September, until the coronavirus outbreak played the spoil-sport!

In an interview with TOI, the actress, who was last seen in Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer Bypass Road, revealed that preparations were complete for the September wedding but it is now on hold! She said, “We had planned a destination wedding in September-end and almost everything, including the venue, was finalised. We were all set to zero in on a date when the pandemic hit. Both our families had started preparing for the big day. James’ family doesn’t travel and so, his parents don’t even have a passport. We had asked them to initiate the paperwork and get their passports made. However, the plan is on hold for now, as I don’t think it will be safe to travel around that time.”

Right now, Shama is spending her lockdown with her fiancé in Mumbai, but his parents are alone and that keeps both of them stressed. She also considered herself lucky to be sharing the time with James and said that she can only imagine how hard it would be for those who are spending time alone. Well, we hope things get back to normal soon.
