For quite some time, reports had been doing the rounds that Balika Vadhu is all set to return with a new season. The story of Anandi and Jagiya, married off when they were children, and their journey into adulthood and understanding the concept of marriage enjoyed a massive fan following. In fact, it also gave the nation a new star- Avika Gor. Now, it seems like the story of Anandi would be back on TV with a new face. In fact, the promo of the new season is out!

It is being said that child artists Shreya Patel of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha and Vansh Sayani of Baal Veer fame would play the lead role in season 2. Earlier, Avinash Mukherjee and Avika Gor brought Jagiya and Anandi to life in the first season, whereas Pratyusha Banerjee and Shashank Vyas played the role of the grown-ups.
