Disha Vakani AKA Dayaben Might Be Replaced In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma!

It seems that all is not well between Disha Vakani aka Dayaben and the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma. Disha, who was on maternity leave, might be soon replaced from the show!

Disha had taken a maternity break since September 2017 and has not yet joined the show. Many in the industry were also of the opinion that her contract might have been terminated. But according to reports, the producer has clarified that her contract is still there and that she is still very much a part of the show. In a statement he said,

"Contract has not been closed. The character of Daya bhabhi is still there and we have not taken any actor to replace her. As and when she wants to come, we will see at that time. If mutually beneficial to both, we shall work together again."

But if a report from Spotboye is to be believed, then Disha has been given a 30 days ultimatum. A source said,

"Modi (producer Asit Modi) waited ethically how much he and his cast-crew could. Now, Modi says he will just give a concession period of a month, starting today. There has been absolutely no contact between the two parties ever since Dayaben's last day at the shoot. Team Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has no problems if she wants to look after her baby but some of her demands that they would imply if she was to return, were just not easy to accept when her husband last has a word with us."

The source also mentioned that her husband had made demands that Disha would work 4 hours a day for just 15 days a month. He apparently also wanted a 100% hike for her!

We hope that everything gets well and Disha returns as Dayaben in the show!
