Flashback Friday: When Sidharth Shukla Called Karan Johar The Narendra Modi Of His Life For This Reason

Sidharth Shukla’s career has been all about touching new highs in his career with every new thing he chose to try. From playing Shiv in Balika Vadhu to getting an offer for the Bollywood film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania from Karan Johar himself Sidharth has set many milestones even before Bigg Boss happened.

Speaking about his Bollywood film Sidharth who got acquainted with Karan Johar on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa had once compared the filmmaker’s presence in his life to PM Narendra Modi. The actor said this back in 2014, the year in which Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt released when Sidharth was asked how he got the film. Now you might wonder what makes KJo the Modi in the actor’s life, right?

Well, during an interview with Bombay Times the actor while speaking of his few interactions had said, “I was on the last season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where Karan was the judge. He liked me and called me. Karan Johar calling you was a big thing and the first time he called me, I couldn’t believe it. He is very grounded and is so real. From the outside when you see him, you feel that he is this huge mountain, but actually he is such a plateau and is so easy to talk to. He has no hangups and he doesn’t feel superior in any way. I can have a conversation with him without offending him and can speak anything to him.” Adding a witty touch to the response the actor added, “Karan Johar is like Narendra Modi in my life because I feel ab achche din aane waale hain.”

Sidharth Shukla is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss house (again), but this time as a senior where he is setting the rules and making the lives of the new contestants slightly more challenging.
