Gaurav Chopraa Opens Up About Losing Both His Parents To COVID-19, Says 'The Emotional Denting Hampered Them'

The world is right now trying to cope up with the coronavirus pandemic, but many are also dealing with the loss of loved ones. TV actor Gaurav Chopraa is also dealing with a similar tragedy. He lost both his parents to COVID-19 in a span of just 10 days. We can only imagine the pain that he might be going through. Now, he has opened up about how he dealt with the irreplaceable loss.

Talking to Mirror, he opened up about how the coronavirus had affected both his parents emotionally. He revealed, “My mother was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer three-and-a-half years ago. The doctors gave her just four-six months, but the brave lady, who’d been a school principal, defied all odds and was singing, dancing, travelling and celebrating every festival. Cancer couldn’t beat her, the coronavirus did. “Before Covid-19 claimed them, the emotional denting hampered them."

He requested everyone to provide emotional support to anyone who might be suffering it. He also added that despite her weak immunity, her mother did not show signs of infection. His father got it from his mother, and was put on a ventilator despite no prior medical conditions. A big pneumonia patch was detected in his lungs and he had damage in his lungs, kidneys and liver. He also revealed that many of the medicines had to be brought from the black market due to shortage.

We hope that he finds the strength to deal with this loss. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
