Gaurav Chopra's Mother Catches COVID-19 While Battling Pancreatic Cancer, Father Tests Positive Too; Both In Hospital

Actor Gaurav Chopra’s family is going through a tough time with both his parents hospitalized and battling COVID 19 in Delhi. The actor is still in Mumbai and waiting for the results of his brother who is looking after their parents before he decides to head home.

Talking to ETimes Gaurav explained, “My mother has been battling advanced-stage pancreatic cancer for the past three years. Almost miraculously, she emerged stronger from it, and was doing okay. However, over the past few months, she had not been keeping well and was hospitalized. My father was looking after her in the hospital. And then, she tested positive for COVID-19. A few days later, my dad, too, tested positive. My brother, who has been looking after my parents, is also undergoing tests now.”

The actor had just a few days ago appealed any COVID 19 recovered patient with AB+ blood group to donate plasma. His post mentioned that is was for an immediate family member and it was later confirmed that it was for his father.

Gaurav asks people not to take the situation lightly as stay indoors as much as possible saying that they could be infected in many ways. Meanwhile, he is afraid that if he heads off to Delhi now he too might get infected but already has his bags packed and awaits the green signal from his family.
