Himanshi Khurana and Asim Riaz in no rush to get married, actress says 'We don't want to mess things up'

Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana are blissfully happy in their relationship. They fell in love inside the Bigg Boss house but since the reality show, they have managed to successfully navigate their long-distance romance for nearly two years. The couple likes to keep things low-key as far as their relationship is concerned but given the huge public interest in their lives since the reality show are frequently faced with questions about the next big step in their romance – marriage.

Himanshi recently got talking about why she and Asim are not rushing to get married and said their first focus as individuals is their work. Speaking to ETimes Himanshi says, “Asim has just started working full-fledged and it is the time for him to grow and excel. So right now we are not thinking about marriage. I am also working round the clock and have some amazing offers. Getting married means we will have to give time to each other.”

Asim and Himanshi’s career paths often cross as they have done many music videos together, the latest being Asim’s rap ‘Sky High’. But the actress predominately works in the Punjabi industry while Asim is based out of Mumbai.

“Currently, we are working in different industries, the mindset is very different. Our upbringing, religion, he’s in Mumbai so everything is different. We don’t want to rush and mess things up. Marriage is a big commitment. We don’t want to get married in haste and then later on our relationship becomes a joke for others. We want to be prepared for it and want it to happen at the right time. It will be a mature decision,” Himanshi further added.

Asim Riaz turned 28 on Tuesday and the couple celebrated together in Chandigarh where she and a few close friends surprised the actor and model with a birthday bash at home. The couple later flew down to Mumbai together.
