    Popular Indian Idol 12 contestant Sawai Bhatt who was in the news recently after a promo of him asking the judges permission to quit the show went viral. The singer who hails from Rajasthan wanted to exit the competition to be with his ailing mother who hasn’t been keeping well for the past few months while has been away in Mumbai trying to win the Indian Idol 12 trophy.

    With a finale in sight, the singer’s decision to quit did jolt the judges, Himesh Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani, and Neha Kakkar. Well, it looks like Sawai’s prayers to be with his parents have been answered but the good news for fans supporting him is that he is not quitting the show.


    Speaking to Bombay Times, Himesh Reshammiya informed that the makers of the show have decided to bring Sawai’s parents to Mumbai and allowed them to stay with him. He tells the publication, “I had to convince Sawai to stay back. The channel has assured him that his parents can come to Mumbai and stay with him. This way, he can be with them as well as continue with his singing journey in the show. Sawai has been singing consistently well on the show. He has the potential to be the next Indian Idol. With his raw talent and right songs, he can achieve a lot in his career. Sawai belongs to a small town of Rajasthan and that itself is a great inspiration for talents like him in small towns and villages to come forward and participate in music reality shows.”

    The renowned music composer also hopes to give the Rajasthani singer a break and revealed that he will soon be recording a song with him as he did with Pawan Nihal and Mohammed Danish.

    It looks like Sawai will continue in the competition and is getting more than his fair deal from the makers for his sheer talent. While we have seen contestants quit reality shows before in these trying times it is good to see Indian Idol makers supporting their talent.
