Kangana Ranaut On 'Selective Outrage' Open Letter: People Are Misusing Their Position To Generate False Narrative

After 49 eminent people had signed a letter to the Prime Minster against wrongful lynching that has become frequent for the past few years, a counter letter has been signed by 62 people, including Bollywood personalities like Kangana  Ranaut, Prasoon Joshi,  Madhur Bhandarkar and Vivek Agnihotri. The open letter is against the ‘selective outrage and false narrative’.

Talking about the letter, Kangana Ranaut, who name appears first in the list, has said to ANI,

“Some people are misusing their position to generate false narrative that under this Govt things are going wrong, whereas for first time things are going in right direction. We are a part of a major shift, things are changing for betterment of the nation and few people are rattled by this. Common people have chosen their leaders, ones who disregard people's will are the ones who have no respect or consideration for democracy.”

Prasson Joshi, who is the chief of the CBFC, has echoed the same thought and said,

“They (49 people who wrote to PM Modi) seem hell bent to portray that there is deliberate wrongdoing prevalent- thereby dishonestly creating a false narrative.”
