Kanika Mann Roped In To Play Bondita In Barrister Babu, To Shoot Promo This Week?

TV show Barrister Babu will be seeing a leap soon. The show, that had Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni playing the young Bondita and Pravisht Mishra playing her husband Anirudh, would now have different faces. And it looks like Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega actress Kanika Mann has been roped in to play the grown-up Bondita now.

According to a report in ETimes, Reem Sheikh was also being considered for the role but it was Kanika who was roped in finally. A source said, "Kanika will start shooting in two to three days. Initially, it is going to be a promo shoot. Actress Reem Sheikh too was being considered for the role too but the actress had apprehensions about entering an ongoing show. She was keener to be a part of the new show. Interestingly, Ashnoor Kaur was also one of the choices for the role but she couldn't be a part of the project because of her board examinations."

The source further added that the leap was to happen early this year but was delayed because of the pandemic. He said, "The makers are waiting for restrictions to be lifted in Maharashtra to start the shoot with the actors post the leap. The shooting with the new cast might happen in June last week or July first week."
