Karan Singh Grover To Play Mr. Bajaj In Kasautii Zindagii Kay!

Well, it looks like the wait is finally over. After Komolika aka Hina Khan’s exit from Kasautii Zindagii Kay, it is time for Mr. Bajaj to make a dhamakedaar entry into the show. A number of names had come up for the role and we had all been speculating as to who will be the new age Mr. Bajaj. In fact, even Ekta Kapoor had shared a picture a few weeks back and let her fans know that she is confused between there names!

While rumours claimed that actors like Barun Sobti, Eijaaz Khan and even Karan Wahi are being considered, it looks like someone absolutely different has been cast for the role. It is none other than TV hottie, Karan Singh Grover.

Karan Singh Grover, who rose to fame as Dr. Armaan Malik in Dill Mill Gayye, had been a part of the original Kasautii Zindagii Kay as well. He played Prerna’s son-in-law and Sneha’s husband, Sharad. In fact, it was in this serial that fans saw one of the best couples of TV, that of Karan and Jennifer Winget.

Times Of India has reported that the actor has now been confirmed, while earlier it said that neither Karan nor Ekta had confirmed the reports.

If Karan indeed appears as Mr. Bajaj, it will mark his comeback to the TV industry and it would be one of the most anticipated comebacks ever. He was last seen as Asad in Qubool Hai, opposite Surbi Jyoti. But he bid goodbye to the show 6 years back and entered Bollywood. It was also reported that there has been a tiff between him and Ekta Kapoor during the times of the original Kasautii. It was said that Ekta deliberately made Sharad’s character negative, even though it was not there in the original script. But now it looks like they have buried the hatchet and moved forward.

Karan Singh Grover made his Bollywood debut opposite Bipasha Basu in 2015 with Alone. He had been working on a film called Firkie, that has been shelved. Even his film, 3 Dev, that was to release in May 2018, has been shelved.
