Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 To Premiere Today, Check Out The New Rules Of The Season

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to be back on our TV screens from tonight with Kaun Banega Crorepati 12. Yes, we will be able to hear him greet us in his baritone voice, and he will now lead contestants towards the winning amount. But this year, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, there would be quite a few changes. Want to know more about it? Read it below:

Timing and channel: KBC would air on Sony Tv. The show will go live today at 9pm.

New rules:

1. There would only be 8 contestants for the fastest finger first. The number of participants has been lessened keeping in mind social distancing norms.

2. The contestants chosen for the fastest fingers first will be kept in quarantine before entering the show.

3. This year, there would be no live audiences. There would be a sitting area and contestants can bring just one member from their family.

4. Since there won't be any live audience, there can't be the audience poll. The lifeline would be replaced by 'video-a-friend'.

5. This year's theme is setbacks rather than comebacks. So we might see contestants who had been affected by the lockdown due to the pandemic.
