Kavita Kaushik on not signing saas bahu sagas: "I am averse to wearing heavy jewellery and shoot for 30 days in the Mumbai heat"

Actress Kavita Kaushaik says is all set to return to the small screen with an extended cameo on the upcoming TV show Lakshmi Ghar Aayi. Last seen in the Bigg Boss 14 house, Kavita was asked why she stays away from the saas bahu sagas that are widely popular on TV and the actress had no issues in admitting that she isn’t into such shows.

Known for her popular comedy show F.I.R where she played the fiery Chandramukhi Chautala, Kavita spoke to ETimes about her aversion to daily soaps and said, "I am averse to wearing heavy jewellery and shoot for 30 days in the Mumbai heat. I have crossed that age now. Apart from the age, I have also crossed the hunger to do so. At the same time, I salute all the artistes who do that. I can max shoot for 10-12 days and do a cameo on a show. However, even today I wouldn't mind doing another season of FIR."

Having said that, the actress has been a part of many daily soaps early on in her career like Kesar, Kum Kum, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kutumb among others. She later switched to doing shows like Remix and C.I.D before F.I.R catapulted her to stardom on the small screen.

While fans of F.I.R have every now and then voiced their support for a new season of the comedy show that aired on Sony SAB, Kavita spoke about the possibility of the show’s return and said, “Talks have happened of coming back but then nothing materialized. Every few months we do talk about bringing the show back but the team is very busy with other projects, especially the direction team is busy with other projects."

Kavita was last seen on Bigg Boss 14 where was a wild card entrant a few weeks after the show started and she walked out of the show after a little while.
