KBC 13: Amitabh Bachchan joined by family on the show
Amitabh Bachchan for the first time in 20 years is going to host his family on his celebrated quiz show Kaun Bangega Crorepati 13. His daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and granddaughter Navya Nveli Nanda will grace the hot seat for a special episode as the show completes 1000 episodes on television.
While some of the biggest celebrities in Bollywood have played KBC for a cause, superstar host Amitabh Bachchan has kept his family at bay even though they are often talked about in the many family anecdotes Big B generously shares with the contestants on a regular basis. The star shared a picture with Shweta and Navya from the show and even celebrated the momentous 1000 episodes on his blog post where he wrote about entertaining the channel’s request for inviting his family on the show.

Amitabh Bachchan shared many more pictures from the shoot with Shweta and Navya on his blog while he wrote about these ‘contestants’ finally being able to share their memories attached to the show and how it was a moment of pride for him.
The superstar spoke about the thrill of shooting with family as he wrote, “A delight, to be able to, not just test the ability of the ‘contestants’, but to give the freedom to express what many have felt has been undisclosed and kept behind closed doors. The banter of the family dining table, the repartee, and most importantly the several causes that the young at this age think about and work for. An evening of great pride for the Father and Grandfather - for Papa and Nana!”
