KBC 13: Jackie Shroff breaks down as Suniel recalls how the actor lost his mother at home without getting to know about it

Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty are all set to play Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 with Amitabh Bachchan this Friday. The latest promo of the KBC 13 episode featuring them has an emotional moment where Big B lauds their friendship. In a pre-recorded visual one can see Suniel talk about Jackie’s mother’s demise and it moves the actors to tears as they sit in the hot seat.

Jackie who was incredibly close to his mother Rita Shroff, spent his childhood in a one-room house in Teen Batti where he could even hear his mother cough. After he gained success and the family moved into a bigger house where everyone had their own room. His mother passed away at night in her room one night after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Suniel narrated this tale in the tapped visuals and reliving his past moved Jackie to tears. His friend also shed a tear for him while Jackie gave him a sweet kiss on the forehead. Amitabh Bachchan also lauded their friendship and added that it is rare to see such friends in today’s times.

In 2014, Jackie had spoken about losing his parents in an interview with Times of India, where had said, “I first lost my father and then my mother soon after. They both lived with me till their end. My mom got a stroke and I didn’t know. When we lived in a small room at Teen Batti, if she coughed I could hear and could immediately say, ‘Kya hua mom, kya hua pa?’ When we moved to a bigger house in Bandra, mom had her room, papa had his room and I had mine and so I came to know in the morning that she had died. If I’d come to know in the night I could have taken her to the hospital. Toh kya mila, kya gaya maloom nahin, samjha na baahu? I loved my mom too much.”
