Kritika Kamra Reveals 3 Of Her Bollywood Projects Failed To Take Off, Was Says She Was Saturated After Doing A Few TV Shows

Kritika Kamra became a household name after daily soaps launched her career in acting in a big way. Known for playing Aarohi in the Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kritika decided to stir things up a bit as she made her debut in Bollywood with Mitron in 2018 after a decade in the entertainment business. Recently seen in the rather controversial web series Tandav, she recently got talking about taking a break from TV and projects in Bollywood that never worked.

Talking to Times Of India, Kritika spoke about her background of doing TV shows and said, "After I did some TV shows, I started feeling burnt out. I was saturated. I was feeling complacent.” The actress added she had reached her saturation point with saas-bahu sagas on TV and despite there being offers she decided to take break.

Kritika said she then aimed at furthering her career as an actress in films instead of TV but unfortunately projects she signed failed to take off.  "I came back to TV and did 'Reporters'. After that, I had signed 3 films but they never took off. So, I once again came back to TV and did 'Chandrakanta', she added.

Doing Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tandav did placate the actress but she is still vying for a career in Bollywood. Asked if she’s ever approached filmmakers for work, the Mitron actress said she prefers to audition instead, but claims there’s nothing wrong in picking up the phone and asking people for work.
