Madhurima Tuli Reveals She Was Called ‘Behenji’ And ‘LS’ At School, Was Bullied For Her English Speaking Skills

Madhurima Tuli is a popular name and face of TV. In fact, she has also lived her Bollywood dream when she got the chance to work opposite Akshay Kumar in Baby. She has had a long journey in the glamour industry and has always been appreciated for her talent and her sense of style. But there had been a phase in her life when she was bullied because of dressing sense and her English speaking skills. She was even called ‘behenji’ and ‘LS’.

Well, opening up about her experience, Madhurima told TOI that she had been bullied in school. She did her schooling from Dehradun, but she wasn’t born there. She was originally from Orissa and had shifted there. She revealed, “When I went to Dehradun, I really didn’t have a good dressing sense or even speak proper English. People used to talk and girls would comment ‘Arre kitni behenji hai’, ‘she is so LS (low society)’ . But after I became Miss Uttaranchal, they all became my friends. They bullied me a lot. But I think it did me better. I became a confident person.”

She also talked about her debut film Baby and that she landed the role because of an ad! Her hairstyle in the ad had become popular and it did tremendously well. It was there that Neeraj Pandey saw her and decided to cast her for Baby. Well, we are just happy that Madhurima decided to open up about her traumatic experience. Is this experience the reason why she mocks Vishal Aditya Singh too for his English speaking skills?
