Naagin 5: Dheeraj Dhoopar To Fill In While Sharad Malhotra Recovers From Covid-19?

The makers of Naagin 5 are in a fix. With the show’s lead Sharad Malhotra testing positive for Covid-19, the big question on everyone’s mind remains what will happen to his character and the show’s shoot in the meantime. Well, the answer to those questions might appear for the fans in the form of Dheeraj Dhoopar who opened the season opposite Hina Khan as Cheel before Sharad was introduced as his reincarnated form several years later.

According to a Pinkvilla report the makers are planning to replace Sharad with Dheeraj for the time being, while the former remains in isolation and recuperates. It does sound like the perfect way to keep the show going without interruption and fans might even enjoy this as a small twist to the story. The channel or Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, however, are still to confirm if these reports are indeed true.

Reports of Sharad testing positive for Covid-19 surfaced on October 3 and panicked Naagin 5 fans for him as well as other members of the cast who also got tested. The show’s lead, Surbhi Chandna, to the relief of the fans shared that her reports came back negative.

Naagin 5 has been on air for a little over a month after the premature departure of the show’s previous season starring Nia Sharma.
