Paras Chhabra On Jay Bhanushali's 'PR Gimmick' Tweet: We Have Just Come Out Of A Big Show, Why Will We Need Publicity?

There might be no names taken but the fight between Paras Chhabra and Jay Bhanushali over donating food to the needy during lockdown has become a full blown controversy. It started with a tweet soon after Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma’s pictures of distributing food together to the poor went viral which was followed by a tweet from Jay Bhanushali where he said that the so called actors are doing it as a PR stunt these days and should leave their phones home as people around get uncomfortable.

Jay’s tweet read - “Sorry to say but distributing food to needy has become a PR stunt for lot of so called actors..if you really want dua/blessing from them or God pls leave you phones home..could see ppl not being comfortable with cameras around. #COVIDIDIOT #lockdowneffect #HumanityFirst.”

While he didn’t name who he was talking about all fingers were pointed at Paras Chhabra post that and then Jay’s wife and actress Mahi Vij jumped to defend him and said that they didn’t even know what Paras was doing at the time.

Now, Paras followed suit and without taking name went on to give a lengthy interview about him not needing the publicity after being on TV’s biggest show for months and certainly not at the cost of risking his life.  Without mentioning Jay, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant said some very nasty things in return and said that the person has an attitude of criticizing everything.

In chat with ETimes, Paras revealed, “Why will I or Mahira show off and what will we get from this. I don't want this kind of publicity and in the first place we have just come out of such a big show and we did great in it. Why will we need publicity? Mahira and I are already seen on TV because of the Bigg Boss 13 rerun. We have been seen on TV since last 7 months from September, I was part of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge also, I don't need such publicity. When there is so much scare due to coronavirus why will we risk our life just to show-off. They are saying that they have not named anyone, but our fans are very smart and everyone knows who they were hinting at. It shows their shallow thinking. Now, after all this I can also say, even I haven't named anyone."

The TV actor is really close with Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Mahira Sharma who was also seen in pictures along with him distributing food. We wonder where this nameless blame game will stop but we hope it doesn’t take another nasty turn.
