Paridhi Sharma Replaces Puja Banerjee As Maa Vaishnodevi; Feels She Was Destined To Play The Goddess On-Screen

Paridhi Sharma would soon be seen on TV. She will walk into the shoes of Puja Banerjee in Jag Janani Maa Vaishnodevi as the titular character. Opening up about the show, Paridhi said that she was destined to play the character of a goddess on-screen.

In an interview with BT, the actress said, “Many years ago, I had shot a few mock episodes for another production house that was planning to make a show on the same subject. I am happy that I have been chosen to play such a challenging role.”

In fact, in school, she would only perform and portray a 'devi's character' and was even called 'maate'! Talking to Spotboye, she said, "Since my childhood, I was the only one who used to always get selected to portray a Devi's character. Be it Sita, Radha, Parvati, Bharat Mata ...rather I was popularly known as Maate in my school. I have a very deep connection with the character and there is no sense of nervousness, rather I'm thoroughly enjoying the process."

Puja Banerjee walked out of the show and talking about her exit, she just said that she needed some time off after her wedding. Paridhi was last seen in Patiala Babes. Are you excited with the news? Let us know in the comments.
