Saath Nibhana Saathiya Gears Up For Season 2, Devoleena Bhattacharjee And Rupal Patel To Reprise Their Roles

The Modi family saga Saath Nibhana Saathiya has already made a big comeback as a social media as viral  video song ‘Rasode mein kaun tha’ by Yashraj Mukhate. And now you can prepare yourself to see Gopi bahu and Kokilaben yet again to your screen as the show’s producer has announced that they are prepping for a second season. The idea for a new season however wasn’t conceived after the meme fest began on social media but has been on the mind of the makers for some time now.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya which made Jia Manek and Devoleena Bhattacharjee household names got a great response to the show’s re-runs which aired during the lockdown. Producer Rashmi Sharma has confirmed the show’s return and told Mumbai Mirror, “During the lockdown, its reruns were widely watched and that made us believe this is a good time to bring it back with a new season. Its recall value is still very strong. There will be many new characters and a twist in the storyline, but it will remain a family show and be driven by relationships.”

The producer also confirmed that the show will see the return of Deevoleena Bhattachajee and Rupal Patel also with a bunch of new faces. Deevolena will be shooting a promo for the show next week marking her return as Gopi bahu after her rather popular stint on Bigg Boss 13.
