Sanya Malhotra Confronts Dharmesh Yelande For Rejecting Her During A Dance Reality Show Audition Six Years Ago

Sanya Malhotra’s recent release Pagglait is getting a lot of attention and has been trending on number one on Netflix this weekend. The actress, however, had a big moment while promoting the film as it brought her to the stage of the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane’.

The actress who is an ace dancer herself and whose dance video on social media garner millions of views revealed that she had once auditioned for a dance reality show herself. What’s more, is that the actress never made the cut during those auditions and was rejected by choreographer Dharmesh Yelande who judged the show. This was obviously before Sanya took up a career in acting and bagged Aamir Khan starrer Dangal after which there was no turning back for the actress.

Dharmesh is a part of the reality show where Sanya was promoting Pagglait. Speaking about the rejection on the show the actress revealed, “Life has come a full circle for me today. Six years back, I had come to this studio for a dance-reality show audition and I did not clear it.”

She added, “And I remember, it was 1 a.m. in the night when I got free and I called my friend and said that I have not been able to get through and to come and pick me up. And you were there, Dharmesh sir. I was not able to clear it because of you. But now, I am here to promote my film.”

Well, in all fairness Sanya was destined for greater success which she found after this incident. Dharmesh also congratulated Sanya on her success despite facing the hurdle and used her example to motivate those give up in the face of rejection.
