Sasural Simar Ka 2: Radhika Muthukumar Opens Up About Working With Dipika Kakar Aka The OG Simar

Fans were over the moon with joy when one of television’s favorite bahu Dipika Kakar aka Simar announced that she will be returning with the second season of her popular show Sasural Simar Ka. She promised new characters, chapters and an even stronger Simar. Well, she later introduced audiences to the new Simar of the show, who is kind, sensitive, loving and an aspiring sitar player. This character is being portrayed by actress Radhika Muthukumar.

In a recent chat with Indian Express, Radhika revealed that during her audition, she was not told that it was for a part in Sasural Simar Ka 2. She shared, “I had just got the basic character brief, on which I auditioned. When I got to know it is Sasual Simar Ka 2, I could not stop dancing with joy. The show is iconic. After the thoughts settled in, I was also quite nervous given people would have expectations from us.”

Talking about working with Dipika, Radhika stated, “She has been so supportive and positive. When I told her that I was nervous, she asked me to keep faith in myself. Dipika even assured me that she would always be there in case I ever have any doubts, which was really sweet of her.”
