Shaheer Shaikh agrees Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 fell short of people's expectations: 'We all tried to make it work'

Shaheer Shaikh and Erica Fernandez’s show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 which started out earlier this year is now ready to call it a wrap. The third season on the show is ending on a disappointing note as it failed to garner the TRPs like the successful first two seasons. The leading man of the show has now reacted to the decision of the makers to take the show off air rather abruptly. This comes right after Erica Fernandez penned a goodbye note for her character Sonakshi.

“I gave my best to the show and enjoyed playing the character. I agree that the third season fell short of people’s expectations, but we all tried to make it work and gave it our best. The storylines were also changed and everyone in the team gave their 100 percent to it. Now that the show is getting over, I feel sad, but at the same time, I am happy that it lasted for three seasons and that is definitely a great feeling," Shaheer said to ETimes about Kuch Rang Pyaar Ek Aise Bhi 3 going off-air.

The actor who recently became a father and welcomed his first-born daughter Anaya with his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor now plans to spend some quality time with his family.

On Wednesday, Erica took to social media bidding goodbye to the role and wrote in a post, “As for Sonakshi a character so dear to you and me, a character that was an inspiration to many, a character who was so strong, smart, balanced… the Sonakshi we once witnessed in seasons 1 and 2, the one we expected to see this season too but unfortunately we had to see the complete opposite of what she was."

Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 started out in July and is ending after a short run on Sony Entertainment Television.
