All these facts have proven to be true during the lockdown as iconic shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, and several other shows returned to the small screen and topped TRPs charts.

    TV actor Shaheer Sheikh who played Arjun in the new Mahabharat on Star Plus earned widespread appreciation for the part and for him to play the role was monumental in his career with him learning quite a lot from the experience.

    In a conversation with Spotboye however, Shaheer Sheikh revealed that his reaction to getting the part wasn’t really like what one would imagine. The role being iconic also added lot of responsibility on his shoulders and he told what happened he was selected. The actor said, “When the guy, who was taking my audition told me I am selected, I literally ran away. I told them, I won't be able to do it. It's very difficult as I haven't done anything like this before.’” The actor was later convinced by TV producer Sidharth Kumar Tiwari who gave him the confidence he should do it.

    Apart from being a learning experience the actor also revealed that he was truly rattled after shooting Draupadi’s chir-haran sequence and he couldn’t speak to anyone for 10-15 days simply thinking about what had happened with her. Speaking about scenes that moved him emotionally he said, "One was Draupadi's chir-haran, after shooting which I got so disturbed that I couldn't recover mentally for 10-15 days. It made me terribly sad, I would not talk to anyone. What happened to her, somewhere still exists in our society.”

    Shaheer certainly was loved widely by the fans of the show and appreciation to pour in as the show is running on TV again during lockdown.
