Sushant Singh Rajput Tribute: Ankita Lokhande Gets Emotional During Her Performance As She Remembers The Actor; Watch

Ankita Lokhande and the cast of Pavitra Rishta paid an emotional tribute to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput who rose to fame with his performance on the show. Ankita has been teasing her fans for a while now with BTS shots from rehearsals for the gig from the Zee Rishtey Awards and now the video from her full performance is here and you might need tissues by your side as you watch it.

The performance included various songs of Sushant including ‘Jak Tak’ and ‘Kaun Tujhe’ from M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, ‘Sweetheart’ from Kedarnath, ‘Boyfriend’ from Raabta and the title track of the show Pavitra Rishta.

Ankita and veteran actress Usha Nadkarni who played Sushant’s mother on the show gave two speeches as a part of the performance and both couldn’t stop the emotions from showing.

Ankita’s speech concluded the performance where she remembers the late actor saying, "Aaj har dil shaant hai, kyu ki har dil mein Sushant hai. Kabhi socha nahi tha wo jo har din chaand taaron ki baatein karta tha, wo ek din khud chand taaron se baat karne chala jaayega. Kabhi socha nahi tha ki jisse dekh kar, kayion ne sapne dekna sikha, ek din usse dekh paana sapna ban jaayega. Sushant, aaj aapko yaad kar raha hai, aapki kutumb ka har rishta kyuki aapka aur hamara rishta sirf Pavitra nahi amar risita hai. Mene kabhi nahi socha tha ki ye din aayega jaha me ye sab bolungi. We miss you Sushant. [ All hearts today are silent because Sushant lives in each one’s heart. Never imagined that there would come a day that he who spoke of the moon and stars, will himself go away to speak to them. Never imagined that he who taught many to dream, it will become a dream for us to be able to see him. Sushant today all the lives you touched remember you, because our relationship with not just pure it is immortal. I had never imagined that there will come a day I will say all of this. We miss you Suhsant.”

Not just the performers the audience was teary-eyed too at the end.
