Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma: Neha Mehta Aka Anjali Quits Show After 12 Years

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma had been soaring in the TRP charts after the show resumed airing post lockdown. Fans loved the comic timing, and what better than comedy to drive away our blues anyway. But while fans are still waiting for Dayaben aka Disha Vakkkani's return, we have another bad news. The actress who plays Anjali in the show, Neha Mehta, has decided to quit.

Neha had been associated with Taarak Mehta right from its onset, i.e., for 12 long years. A source confirmed the news. Talking to Spotboye, the source was quoted saying, "Neha informed her decision to the makers in advance and they tried to hold her back and convince her to stay back. But the actress has some different plans for her career and hence she chose to say goodbye."

That would mean, we would either have a new Anjali or the character would be left as it is, as has been done with Dayaben. Neha played Anjali, who is a dietician and also Taarak's wife. It has also been said that she has stopped coming to the sets and within a few days, we would not be seeing her anymore on-screen. No official announcement of the same has been made yet.
