TV Actor Abhinav Shukla Drags The Makers Of Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka To Court Over Non-Payment Of Dues

Two years might have passed since Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka went off air. The show, that had Dhrasti Dhami, Shakti Arora and Abhinav Shukla, went off air pretty soon due to low TRPs. Well, looks like all is not sorted with the show. Actor Abhinav Shukla, who played the character of Rajdeep, has dragged the makers of the show to court over non-payment of dues.

According to a report by Bombay Times, it was stated in the actor’s contract that he would be given a month’s notice before the character ceases to exist. However, he was told in October 2018 that “contract had been terminated with immediate effect and he would no longer be a part of the show.” The report also states that he was not paid his dues for the period of October and Noivember, which should have been his notice period.

The actor refused to comment, but his lawyer was quoted saying, “Besides many other issues, including misinforming and misleading the channel that Abhinav wasn’t available for the shoot, thereby compelling them to cast another actor as his replacement, the production house has even breached the contract by going against the clause under which Abhinav had to be compulsorily given a termination notice of a month in advance about his exit. He worked during the month of October, 2019, for which he hasn’t been paid. He hasn’t got his dues for the month of November as well, as stipulated in the contract... He moved criminal court for registration of an FIR for the offences of cheating, fraud and extortion. The next hearing is in February.”

The producer of the show said, “We have not received any communication till date on any complaint being filed by anyone against us or our company.”
