Vijayendra Kumeria On Naagin 4 Going Off Air Post Lockdown: “I Was Expecting This”

Naagin 4 had just begun to get interesting before the lockdown. The makers wanted to bring in some zabardast twist and after doing away with the characters of Sayantani Ghosh and Jasmine Bhasin, they got Rashami Desai on-board as Shalakha. But then, the coronavirus outbreak forced everyone into a lockdown and with the shoots stalled, makers all over have been incurring huge losses! Under such circumstances, the team of Naagin 4 first decided to do away with Rashami Desai character, who was an expensive resource, and now, they have decided to end the show!

Talking about the same, Vijayendra Kumeria, who plays the male lead, Dev, revealed that he isn’t surprised. Talking to Spotboye, he said, “ "I knew that this (the wrap-up of Season 4) is going to happen in the industry so I was expecting this given the fact that it has happened with a lot of shows so I am okay with that, hopefully, something will come up."

When asked if he has any knowledge about Season 5, he said, “What I have heard is we will be wrapping up the show after the lockdown, but we will be shooting the end. However, I don't know about Season 5 yet."

Well, a lot of shows had met with the same fate due to the lockdown. Shows like Beyhadh 2 and Patiala Babes have been wrapped up due to the lockdown!
