Fanney Khan's Achhe Din Is A Perfect Ode To Every Common Man's Struggle Between Dreams And Reality
Yet another new song from the upcoming film Fanney Khan is out. The song is called ‘Mere Achhe Din Kab Ayenge’ and has Anil Kapoor going about his life while keeping his dreams alive in eyes. Sung and composed by Amit Trivedi the song has distinct Amit Trivedi signature to it and is what every common man asks himself every day and thus is very relatable.
Releasing on 3rd August, Fanney Khan is being directed the debutant director Atul Manjrekar and has Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai in titular roles.
Here is what we think about the brand new song ‘Mere Achhe Din’ from Fanney Khan
An Endearing Anil Kapoor
One of the biggest take away from the song is an unbelievably endearing Anil Kapoor. The song is essentially a montage of his daily life and taxi driver in Mumbai, accepting the rude and mundane realities of life while keeping his passion for music and the dream for his daughter so preciously protected from those realities of life. So far, this is the song that gives the most authentic idea of Anil Kapoor’s character and the entire vibe of the film.
Heart Touching Chemistry Between Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor
Forget Aishwarya and Rajkummar’s uncomfortable chemistry, the one chemistry you should be looking forward to in Fanney Khan is that of Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor. Both actors of the highest caliber shine bright in the bits in which they are together. From sharing a drink and hugging each other to being partners in crime, it is their story that is making us want to watch Fanney Khan and see this tale of unusual friendship unfold on screen.
An Urban Ballad Of Common Man
When it comes to urban melodies there Amit Trivedi shines like no other. Mere Achhe Din Kab Ayenge is a song about daily struggles of urban middle class and dreams thriving in mundane and compelling realities and the music along with the visuals does total justice to the song. It is a hummable tune that would soon catch up with Amit Trivedi loyalists.
The Lyrics Are Somewhat Off
In an attempt to make the sound very real and colloquial, the lyrics appear somehow off. The words are real and profound, but the poetry is missing and kind of clashes with the melody of the song in some parts. Separately they poetry might work as a piece of urban rant and it is beautiful but it does not go with the song.
A Pleasant Surprise
We were pleasantly surprised to see Satish Kaushik in the song and we are now excited about seeing Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik together on screen after a long time. Back in the days the duo, who are also close friends in real life, has given many memorable performances together and our heart is melting to see this endearing reunion.
