Thugs Of Hindostan Trailer Is Everything We Expected And Much More

It is almost difficult to make my fingers type the words because the trailer of Thugs Of Hindostan is out and excitement is off the charts. As decided earlier, YRF released the trailer of this most awaited film today. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif the film is touted to be the biggest film of Bollywood. Here is what we thought about the trailer.

Visual Extravaganza Might Just Be An Understatement

Not that our expectation was any different, but nothing prepared us for the what we saw on-screen. The much talked about large boats probably justifies the whopping cost and it looks like no expense was spared for the production design and costumes. Not to compare with Baahubali, but Thugs of Hindostan might just live up to its hype in terms of the visual extravaganza. The period appeal of the film is pretty spot on and it one can see where all the hard work has gone into.

Watching Amitabh and Aamir On Screen Together Is A Surreal Experience

It is actually a little shocking that these two biggies of Bollywood never came on-screen together, but it looks like it was worth the wait. Watching these two mega stars on screen is a surreal experience and is probably the biggest reason of our ever mounting expectations from the film.

The Story Looks Far From The Book

Those who have read the book on which the film is based on can see from the trailer that the story is not quite similar to what has been told in the book Confession of a Thug.  Here Aamir Khan is actually pitted against Aamir and is not a member of his cult but rather a reputed thugee who is being used by the British to put an end to the legendary thug Azaad. Also, unlike the book, the story is being told from an Indian perspective.

Heavy Dose of Action

Can we just take a moment to marvel at how kickass Amitabh Bachchan looks in action sequences? Even Fatima looks totally fierce as the warrior with a bow and arrow and sure to grab a lot of limelight. Aamir Khan looks more agile and menacing than fierce and suits the tone of his character perfectly. It would surely be interesting to see ‘kamina’character he is playing in the film.

Aamir Katrina Romance Looks Intense

Like always, Katrina looks like a dream in the trailer and in one fleeting shot we see her and Aamir being quite intimate. While the two have worked previously in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Dhoom 3, this time their chemistry seems much more intense.
