I am a hero and a villain: Kamal Hasan’s 2013 spy thriller follow up Vishwaroopam 2’s trailer is out and from the looks of it, is the perfect cinematic espionage experience. The trailer cares more about manipulating dread and the craft of the scare then it does with the ever-increasing terrorist drama that we have been witness to time and again!Well, the film is a prequel which means this one will be a back story to the preceding work! While the narrative returns to Kamal Haasan over and over, and why not, no one could have captured the meticulous skills on display yet again in its second installment.Donning the director’s hat and emoting in front of the camera at the same time, is this maestro who also at times; seems to have taken a fancy to believe (and truthfully so) that he has cracked the code to replicate the power of banishing the horrors of lynching, bloodshed and extremism. The shockingly hideous act of corrupting young innocent minds into paths of terror and carnage seems to be the backbone of the story.Kamal returns as the dually attributed Vishwanath – the warrior who camouflages as the effeminate dancer and who almost dictates how the world must function! He crashes cars, jumps off planes and is also a motor mouth when it comes to putting people in their rightful place. While the producers have kept the details of the plot under wraps, the new trailer gives fans plenty to sink their teeth into. Let’s chow down. The trailer begins with the dialogue; “Sahi yehi hoga ki Nasir school jaaye aur Jalal college” (It will right to send Nasir to school and Jalal to the college) with the visuals of an innocent boy looking petrified Rahul Bose makes a finger gun and points it towards his forehead! This is a direct allusion of the fate that awaits the little boy!Rahul Roy is seen in the avatar of a dreaded terrorist with the customary goatee minus the moustache and a sunglass to cover up his defective eye and in a way it does elevate the terror to another level. That means the film is actually a prequel as its makers claim to be, from here he goes on to become what he is (Rahul’s character with a ravaged eye in Vishwaroopam 1)!Kudos to cinematographer Sanu Varghese and Shamdat Sainudeen. There are lot of stand - out frames in this trailer, but this faraway shot of Haasan at the centre of what appears to be a torture session is poisonously unsettling. The look in the actor’s eyes while coughing up blood, as he is being mangled severely - almost like a silent bomb in control, waiting to explode when the limits of physical mutilation is reached! Here it is almost vital to go back to the shot where Kamal says “Dekhiye Musalman Hona Gunah Nahi Hai lekin Aap Jaisa Insaan Hona Haraam Hai.” (Look, it is not a sin to be a Muslim by faith but to be a person like you is a sacrilege!) and then the next when a seemingly terrorist looking man is shot brutally from behind, again alluding to the fact that it is he who has taken it upon himself to obliterate the face of terrorism from the planet! The background score clearly tells us what the subplot of the film would be – A single man’s fight against everything dark and grim prevailing in the society! The man who commands respect and whatever he says is the last word! But the man who has almost taken it upon himself to fight against the world, also fights the temptation to be wrapped around a woman’s naked flesh, he is seen lusting at the silhouette of a pretty lass under shower behind the glass door and later almost resultantly, after a scorching kiss scene, the two are seen sharing a passionate embrace and lying blissfully on the bed with each other.Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman’s appearance almost out of the blue comes as a pleasant surprise. Her emotions are still raw as ever as she clutches the wrist of the person she thinks the world of, but unfortunately, Vishwanath doesn’t quite respond amicably and stares at her in disbelief!A word of special mention to the German action director Stefan Richter, be it a car tossing in the air or the underwater fight sequences, the undercover lady who wrecks havoc on moving van, the thrill quotient is bang on!The trailer ends with another chair toppling action sequence of Vishwanath retaliating to the ones in power manages to be totally aligned with the film’s level of action and still up the jolt ante. Vishwanath puts in his strength to the topmost level and climbs up the walls still tied on the chair and shoves the legs of it onto the chest of the villain!Dhish Dhish Dhish… Dhaaap! Freeze!Vishwaroopam hits the theatres on August 10, 2018

The trailer of Sridevi's daughterJahnvi Kapoor's debut and Shahid Kapoor's brother, Ishaan Khattar's commercial debut film Dhadak just dropped in today. The two starlets had already kept us excited with their off-screen chemistry. With a cute on-screen presence as well, the trailer of Dhadak promised a typical Bollywood romance. For starters, the film shows a rich daughter of a politician, Parthvi, played by Jahnvi and a poor boy, Madhukar aka Madhu played by Ishaan Khattar fall for each other. There is the initial nok-jhok, the aankh-micholi, and the cute and sweet young love all around. But as can be understood in the trailer, the girl's father will turn the villain. So the powerful politician, played by Ashutosh Rana, will use his position to jail the boy madly in love, keep the girl locked in a room until she runs and saves her love.In fact, they even elope. So would this be a regular love-story, where the two will elope, get married, live happily, but would finally have their happily ever after by reconciling with their family? Well, most likely no.The film is the remake of the Marathi film Sairat. The film has been remade in a number of languages already like Punjabi, Kannada, Oriya and even Bangladeshi Bengali. And if you have already seen Sairat, you will know what might follow beneath the seemingly happy and fun film. Expect a dark undertone beneath the mirth and glee of adolescent love.Well, Sairat dealt with the evil that is still prevalent in the society- that of caste differences. Like Nagraj Manjule's debut film Fandry, Sairat too showed how the differences based on caste can take a very grave turn. And if Dhadak follows Sairat, which it will because it is the official remake of the film, it will be about honour killing. In the original film, the parents of the girl kill the two and the film ends in with their son seeing his parents hacked to death in a gruesome way!Well, we have to wait till 20th of July to see if Dhadak will have the same ending! Check out the trailer of Dhadak here:

Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattarhad been shooting for Dhadak for quite some time. The Bollywood film lovers and fans were left all excited to see the new pair, thanks to their off-screen chemistry. And to finally give the fans some relief and hope, the trailer of Dhadak is here. The film, which is the official remake of the Marathi National Award winning Sairat, has a lot more to offer than just the fresh faces. Like Sairat, the film will have serious undertones, but the trailer is all fun and full of the innocence of young love.Ishaan Khattar, who has already proved his mettle with Majid Majidi'sBeyond The Clouds, will be seen for the first time in a commercial film. He is energetic and adds to the groove in the trailer.Jahnvi Kapoor, who will make her debut with this one, looks powerful as well. She, in fact, looks impeccable as the Marwari girl who is in love with the simple boy.The best part of the entire trailer is that the two look cute together. The film also promises a typical Bollywood romance that will have the fun, the nok-jhok and the innocence of young love where a poor boy and a rich girl fall for each other with the girl's family turning villain. But what remains to be seen is will all things go well for the young lovers?Coming to the Marathi original, the trailer of Dhadak might look disappointing to those who have seen Sairat. In fact, even Sairat's trailer had a different feel to it. But, Dhadak is more Bollywoodised and for those who have not seen Sairat, this trailer will definitely look exciting.Check out the trailer here:And here's how the trailer of the original film, Sairat looked like:Dhadak will hit the theatres on 20th July!

As we are bracing ourselves to witness the life of Sanjay Dutt unfold on the big-screen in front of us, friend and director Rajkumar Hirani decided to tease us with yet another song from the film Sanju. We have already seen the Sanjay-Tina Munim phase in the previous song, which had a merry mood, but the latest song from Sanju shows the struggle that Sanjay Dutt had to go through.Post the death of his mother, Sanjay Dutt took to drugs to get over the sorrow, and in the trailer, we have already seen how he has become an addict. But the fighter that he is, Sanjay Dutt decided to not give up, seek help from his father, get over his addiction and get back to work. The song, Kar Har Maidan Fateh captures just that. The song shows the struggle that Sanjay Dutt went through to get over his addiction. We see him fighting with himself, spending anxious and sleepless nights at the rehab, sleeping on the road and even begging on the streets to cope up.But one thing that he shows is his strong will and never say die attitude. He springs back and gets back on life and Bollywood under the guidance of his father.Ranbir Kapoor is impeccable as Sanjay Dutt in this song. It will make you even more excited to see his performance in the film. His earnestness towards the role is visible. The song is inspirational and will motivate one and all. In fact, thanks to Sukhwinder Singh and Shreya Ghosal's powerful voice, it has the capability to give you goosebumps.Check out the song here:

After telling us to be selfish and live for ourselves, yet another song from Race 3 is out. The cong Party Chale On has been able to bring the entire cast together for the song. With the cast dancing and kicking up a storm in a party, it sure looks like one fun song. With cast looking smoking hot and some cool moves on display, this only served to heighten our interest for the film which will finally be hitting the theatres on June 15th.Here is what we thought about the song.Token Party NumberSo it is not just the film Race 3 as a whole that is following the franchise, but even the songs seem to have a pattern. Just like Selfish was a throwback to Beintehaa from Race 2 and Pehli Nazaar from Race 1, Party Chale On is carrying forward the legacy of songs Baby Rock The Dance Floor and Party On My Mind from Race 1 and 2 respectively. It is the token party number where the whole cast comes together and we feel something major will happen right after the song!Dance Skills On DisplayAn out and out party song, the video has some cool moves on display courtesy Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah who are both phenomenal dancers. Even Salman Khan has a few solo bits where he manages to look cool with his signature dance moves, right up to the brushing fingers on the back of the head move that he has popularized. Bobby Deol, Saqib Salim, and even Anil Kapoor have put on their dancing shoes for the number.Major Subah Hone Na De FeelsWe are not really blaming the music directors for copying tunes or anything, but the music of the song will instantly remind you of ‘Subah Honey Na De’. Right from the beats to even the overarching feel of the song, it is very similar to that of this foot tapping number from Desi Boyz. You can refresh your memory with the video.Juvenile LyricsThere is something very wrong with the lyrics of the songs from Race 3. As if the out of tune sounding lyrics of Selfish was not good enough, even in this song in an attempt to be preppy the lyrics come across as some poem written by a really enthusiastic nursery kid. I mean it’s really difficult to take a song seriously with lyrics like ‘Saath Mai Hai, Haath Mai Hai, Tattoo’. Sorry!

Ever since the news of Rajkumar Hirani making a Sanjay Dutt biopic with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead has reached our ears we knew it would be a major cinematic moment for Bollywood fans. With the teaser we understood why and now that the trailer is finally out all we can do is scream just one thing ‘Why is 29thJune so far’.Here is how the trailer of Sanju made us feel!Lekin Terrorist Nahi HoonThis is perhaps one of the most impactful dialogues in the trailer and we are sure the film will have much more of such impactful dialogues. The depth of the narrative will perhaps be conveyed with the typical Bollywood dialoguebaazi. If the trailer is anything to go by, Sanju will have people re-calling the dialogues of a Bollywood film after a long time for sure!Supporting CastThe brilliance of what is probably one of the most amazing supporting cast we have seen in a long shines through in the trailer itself. Paresh Rawal, Monisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarbh, Anushka Sharma and above all a never seen before Vicky Kaushal are looking and playing their part to perfection. It is not just for Sanjay Dutt or Ranbir, but the trailer has surely sparked a crazy longing for the film because of this splendid array of star castIt is Not Candy CoatedThe trailer gives an idea that the film is not only honest but is uncomfortably honest. Whether it is the shot of the police hitting him, he talking about his many sexual adventures in front of his wife, the shot of sewage water filling his jail cell, the reality hits you so hard that we are sure that this movie won’t be easy breezy watch.Rajkumar Hirani Written All Over ItRajkumar Hirani is a master when it comes to blending reality, humor, and drama with an honesty so simple that it is communicated in its most effective way. This signature of Hirani is apparent in the trailer itself and we are sure that the film would have Hirani’s brilliance written all over it! This blend of comedy, tragedy, and drama is something that only Hirani can bring on screen. Starting on a slightly humorous note, getting into the gritty drama midway and ending on a note that gives a crystal clear idea of the man, the trailer gives the vibe of being a movie in itself. The Story Mostly Focuses On The TrialComing to the story, the trailer gives off an idea that the story would be mostly focusing on the trial and the story of his life, his adventures and his misadventures in most cases, would be narrated within the premise of the said trial. It is also clear that although the movie is not being made with the idea of putting Sanjay Dutt on a pedestal, but it surely absolves him from the criminal charges, directly or indirectly.

Sanu Ik Pal Chain (Raid)Imagine this, there is an intense scene going where Ajay Devgn is conducting a raid in the house of a corrupt politician Saurabh Shukla. Although he is sure that Shukla is hiding a huge amount of jewelry and cash hidden, he is continuosly being outsmarted by him. The tension is palalable and the pressure on him keeps building. Right then someone calls him outside to say that his wife has got lunch for him and his team. He comes out and they break into a romantic number. Like how? Why? Why would somebody do that to their audience!Mundeya Tu Bach Ke Rahi (Baaghi 2)Baaghi 2 for most parts is a decent thriller. You are invested into the story where Rony is looking for this little girl Riya and a number suspicious characters are entwined in the episode and the tension is mounting. The audience is hooked on to the suspense, when they suddenly break into this elaborate and foot thumping song and dance sequence, literally out of nowhere.Tujhe Dekhti Hai Nazar (Naanu Ki Jaanu)One of the worst tortures of 2018 so far, it is difficult to find one redeeming quality about this nonsensical horror comedy. But the most bizarre part of the film is this song which comes in when Abhay Deol suddenly realizes his love for the ghost of Patralekha. Here are two people, one human, one ghost who have hardly met each other when both were alive and in the song they are shown singing and being all romantic in the rain. Go figure!Shubh Din (Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran)Only someone with a really weird imagination could think of ad jingle like happy and proud song in a tense sequence when the nuclear bomb is being delivered from BARC in Mumbai to the testing site in Pokhran. The emotion of the scene was totally misinterpreted because of the song.Binte Dil (Padmaavat)Now don’t get us wrong, we love Arijit Singh and we have never stopped humming Binte Dil ever since it released, but if you have seen the film if you will have to agree that song kind of jumps at you with no warning and Jim Sarbh mouthing the word with utmost passion while holding a 'mashal' like thingy served a purpose that we never really understood.
