After the vibrant and colorful Mehendi ceremony yesterday, NickYanka has recently shared the picture of their glamorous and energetic Sangeet ceremony that had more star value than most international music concerts.

After all the magnificent pre-wedding festivities, now we are all waiting with bated breath to witness the traditional wedding ceremony of these to global entertainers. Priyanka and Nick would be tying the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony which will also include the very important ritual of Kanyadaan.

For the uninitiated, Kanyadaan is a ritual where the parents of the bride ceremoniously and officially gives away their daughter’s hand in marriage. It signifies that the mother and father of the bride are blessing the union and wholeheartedly transferring the responsibility of the bride to the groom.

Even though traditionally the ritual is performed by father and mother, in Priyanka’s case things would be a little different. As Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra is no more, the ritual would be performed by none other Parineeti Chopra’s parents Pawan Chopra and Reena Chopra who are the uncle and aunt of Priyanka.
