Here Is Why Sunil Dutt Taught A 6 Year Old Sanjay Dutt How To Smoke A Cigarette?

If you are a smoker, remember the first time your parents caught you smoking? For most of us it would be an incident we would rather not recall due to sheer embarrasement, but when yiu are Sanjay Dutt and your father is none other than Sunil Dutt the story is bound to be different.

It so happened that Sunil Dutt was shooting in Kashmir and a 6 year old Sanjay Dutt was accompanying him. On the sets of the shooting Sanjay demanded a cigarette to smoke and when refused threw a major hissy feat.

Sunil Dutt came to the scene and instead of telling him the ill effects of smoking and explaining the ridiculous nature of his demand, he decided it would be better to have him burn his fingers and lungs and choke and cough so that he would never again have the curiosity to try cigarettes and would develop an aversion to it.

So he took little Sanjay to a corner, lit up a cigarette, taught him how to hold it and take a drag. A curious Sanjay observed the procedure with great interest and instead of making a mess out of his first smoke, he neatly repeated what Sunil Dutt had just demonstrated and managed to finish an entire cigarette while senior Dutt looked on in utter disbelief.

Sunil Dutt was extremely angry with Sanjay and beat him up and made him stand in the sun, but unfortunately Sanjay caught the habit and refused to let it go.
