Intense drama, fluttery romance, light-hearted comedy or spine-chilling villainy, there aren't too many actors in Bollywood who can turn anything into a substantial and massively entertaining performance the way Kajol can. A gifted actor, she is like a chameleon on screen and can make even simplest of the characters memorable or make playing complex characters look like a cake walk. But aside that chameleon-like ability on screen, she is a fun and intriguing personality in real-life as well. Just like her unique personality, her idea of spending quality time with her sister and mother is rather unique. By her own admission she spends a lot of quality time with sister Tanisha and mother Tanuja, but in addition to the usual girlie things like going for shopping and lunches, the trio has a very weird idea of spending time together. On several occasions, Kajol, Tanisha, and Tanuja are found sitting on separate sofas quietly reading separate books. For them that is a perfectly nice way of spending quality time together. While it might sound weird to some, but isn't it the best feeling to be absolutely comfortable sharing silence with your loved ones.

In fact, Devgn family's idea of having a family night is quite different. Being a household that has two of Bollywood's most talented actors, one would think that the family would spend a lot of time watching their own movies, right? Well not for Kajol. she said in an interview that as a family they spend a lot of time watching horror movies together even though she does not get the idea of paying to get scared.

Also, what most people do not know about Kajol is the fact that she cannot cook. She has said that she cannot even make tea and is often worried that her kids will never get to reminisce 'maa ke haath ka khana'. However, a proper Bong at heart, she cannot resist Bengali sweets like 'pantua' and 'lengcha'.

But it is perhaps these quirks in her personality that make her so different from any actress Bollywood has ever produced. Thus the next time you wonder what the wonderful Kajol is doing in her life be sure that she is either reading books with her mother and sister or watching horror movies with her husband and kids probably while munching on some pantuas and lengchas and ordering Japanese food that her daughter Nysa is a huge fan of.
