    The date of the 61st Idea Filmfare awards, south edition has been confirmed as July 12. The award function will take place at the Nehru Indoor Stadium of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. Many luminaries from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries will be attending the function.

Kollywood actor Dhanush who won the Filmfare Award four times said in a statement, "Filmfare Award is really special. The award ceremony that is held every year is now a part of our culture. It is every actor's dream to win a Filmfare Award, and it was my dream too. I came to this industry in 2002 and too. I came to this industry in 2002 and was waiting to win the Black Lady's heart for several years. It never happened. I had to break the ice and flirt with the Black Lady and finally , Aadukalam happened in 2008 and I won my first Filmfare Award for it.The very next year, I won it again for 3. Now, I have won four of them. I cherish every award equally . As far as Filmfare Award is concerned, I am greedy . I want to win an greedy. I want to win an award every year. I don't know if I have been nominated for Maryan yet, but I will be there whether I am nominated or not." The actor also announced his decision to do just one Tamil film and one Hindi film in a year. "Right now, I am doing one Hindi film and finishing two Tamil films. I will be starting two more Tamil films after that. But by December this year or January next year, I will be done with all of them. After that, I want to reduce the number of films I do."


    Dhanush is currently shooting for Anegan. The movie has been directed by K.V. Anand. The actor had recently hurt his leg while shooting for the film. "We were shooting a stunt sequence and I had to run. While doing so, my leg got stuck in the trolley and I didn't realize it. As a result, it got twisted. I have a secondgrade ligament snap and I have been advised three weeks rest. But I am cheating my doctor and continuing to shoot," he smiles.
