80% Tickets Already Booked For Baahubali
The much awaited film of the entertainment industry, which has already been declared a blockbuster by various celebrities, is releasing today. Touted as one of the most expensive film of the industry, with Rs 160-crore budget, the film will release in 1,500 screens across the country. In Karnataka, the film is releasing across 200 screens.
Thomas D'Souza, the programming head of PVR cinemas revealed that almost 80 percent of the film’s first day shows have already been booked, making it one of the big releases in the region. He further said that in the South region, mainly Bengaluru and Hyderabad 90 percent of screens have already been reserved.
VH Suresh, who is the ex-vice president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce told TOI, "We are expecting a huge crowd at the over 200 theatres in Karnataka where the movie will be screened in three languages - Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. It is going to be bigger than a Rajnikanth-starrer. No big releases are lined up for this week because of Baahubali”.
