A Double Rejoice For J. Satish Kumar

A Double Rejoice For J. Satish Kumar

Producer J. Satish Kumar must on cloud nine these days. The filmmaker who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Andaava Kaanom' recently organised the audio launch of the flick. The event was a grand affair as he had two reasons to celebrate. The movie which stars Sriya Reddy marks her comeback to Kollywood after a hiatus of nine years and second reason for the event to be a special affair was that Satish has completed 10 years as producer.

“I am donning the grease paint after a long time. When director Velmadhi narrated the script to me, I asked him if the character is similar to the one I played in Thimuru. He asked me to come to the sets with an open mind. He taught me the Madurai slang very patiently. Without JSK Sathish, this movie would not have happened,” said Sriya.

The event was graced by several stars from K-town such as RK Suresh, Eureka, Manobala, Balaji Tharaneetharan, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan. Debutant Velmadhi has helmed the project. Vijay Sethupathi has lend his voice to an andaa (a huge drum), which is the central character in the movie. The makers have trained around 300 people from the village where the movie has been shot.
