A Sneak Peek Into Baba Bhaskar's Directorial Debut

Baba Bhaskar is a noted choreographer and his works include Singham, Kotha Bangaru Lokam. The choreographer also won Filmfare Awards South in the year 2010 for Best Choreographer for Singam. Baba is now all set to venture into direction with his maiden directorial venture, ' Kuppatthu Raja'.

The film will be in Tamil and is touted to be a comedy drama. The film features G. V. Prakash Kumar and Parthiban in the lead roles. It also has Poonam Bajwa in a pivotal role. Talking about it, Bhaskar said, “Having worked in many films, I also have a passion for writing. I had an idea and told it to my close friends who said ‘it is a good idea and if I developed it well, I can make a commercial movie out of it’. Then I narrated it to GVP who was too happy to come on board as the lead protagonist named Rocket”.

The film will see actor Parthiban in a negative role. Veteran actor Raj Kiran was earlier zeroed in for the role but due to budget of the film, he was replaced by Parthiban. Actor GV Prakash plays a jobless youth from the slums and Palak Lalwani will play the lead actress opposite him.
