Abi Mehdhi Roped In For Vikram’s Next?

Rumours are doing the rounds that veteran actor Nasser’s son, Abi Mehdhi is likely to be roped in to play an important role in Vikram’s next film. The yet to be untitled film was formally announced last year and currently is in its pre-production stage. Director Vikram and director Rajesh M Selva are teaming up for the first time in an upcoming action-thriller.

If we go by the reports, this movie will mark Abi Mehdhi’s acting debut. However, no official confirmation has been made from the makers' end regarding the same. Not just him and his father, Abi’s brother, Luthfudeen has acted in films like ‘Saivam’ and ‘Parandhu Sella Vaa.’

Earlier it was said that Telugu actor Nithin was approached for the film. However, he turned it down due to date issues. On the work front, Vikram has two releases this year - ‘Saamy Square’ and ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’. Further, the film is also starring Akshara Haasan in a pivotal role. Music composer Ghibran will be scoring the film. Touted to be an emotional thriller, it is be produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the project is expected to take off sometime in August commitments.
