Abishek’s Strong Liking For Grey Shades

Abishek Vinod, who became a household name, thanks to his villainous role in the Kamal Haasan-starrer Papanasam. Looks like, the actor can’t get enough of playing a baddie. Fans, you might have to see him more often in negative shades as he has signed Gayathri Raguram's Yaathumaagi Nindrai.

In the film, he is essaying a grey character, a proprietor of an advertising firm and a model co-coordinator, who hails from abroad but has settled in India. He is a badass who harms everyone. Talking about his likeliness for villainous roles, he says, "From Rajinikanth to Kamal Haasan they have done their share of villain roles. I like being the baddie as it gives me more scope to act. How long will you be the good guy, dance around trees and look at the heroine? I'd rather show my anger and my muscular physique."

Yaathumaagi Nindrai centres on the challenges faced by the junior dancers in the film industry. Abishek will also be seen in lyricist Pa Vijay’s next. Title Arudra, the film also features Pa Vijay as an actor other than as a helmer.
