Actor Augustine died at 58

Malayalam actor Augustine passed away at a private hospital yesterday. The star died after a prolonged illness as informed by family sources. He was 58. Augustine, who acted mainly in comedy roles on screen, was not keeping well for the past three years after a stroke that left him paralyzed.

Augustine is survived by his wife and two daughters, actress Ann Augustine and Jeethu. His last outing was Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty. His death has left many celebs in South with teary eyes. Filmmaker Joy Mathew said, “I had won several prizes for re-enacting the plays of Augustine.” May his soul rest in peace.
