    Actor Dileep dies in Mysore after prolonged illness

    Veteran multilingual actor Dileep, who had acted with industry biggies like Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth in several films during his over three-decade-long career, died last Friday due to kidney failure. The 52-year-old actor was frequently seen in Visu movies and some of his most memorable roles were in Samsaram Adhu Minsaram, Thoongadhey Thambi Thoongadhey, Solla Thudikuthu Manasu and Valli. The star, who had recently shifted his base to hometown Mysore due to prolonged illness, is survived by wife Hema, son Maurya and daughter Bhavya. He debuted in the South film industry in the year 1980 with K Balachanders Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu.
