Actor Vijay Vasanth Roped In For Velaikkaran

Talented actor Vijay Vasanth has jumped in to play a crucial role in Velaikkaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara. Vijay was widely admired for his acting prowess in Chennai 600028: Second Innings and Achamindri. Now, there were rumours that the Vanna Jigina star will play a shady character in this flick, but a close source to the team revealed otherwise.  

Confirming Vijay’s signing the source said, “Yes, Raja sir decided that Vijay Vasanth would be a great addition to the team and got him on board for an important character. He is currently shooting his portions in Chennai”. On being asked about his role in the flick, he claimed.

“Vijay Vasanth plays the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s friend in Velaikkaran. Fahadh Faasil is the villain in the movie”. Currently, the team is about to wrap up the shoot in Chennai, after which, the team will go on their 35-day Malaysia schedule. The other cast members of Velaikkaran, include Sneha, Prakash Raj, Thambi Ramaiah, Rohini, Sathish, RJ Balaji, Yogi Babu and Robo Shankar.
