Actor Vishal Lodges Complaint With Police Against Abusive Phone Calls

Tamil Actor Vishal on Thursday filed a complaint with the Chennai police commissioner against mysterious people who have been purportedly abusing him over the phone since Wednesday. He started receiving calls after he was falsely defamed as speaking ill of Tamils in an article published by a website. The actor had received a number of calls from three different numbers where the unknown callers quoted the article.

A spokesperson of his fan's connection, V Harikrishnan filed the complaint on behalf of the actor. He took the matter to the Chennai police commissioner and said that the report on website was bogus and that the actor started receiving the calls after the article was published. The article fallaciously defamed Vishal as the article read, Tamils were lethargic and that people in the state preferred to line up before Tasmac shops, he added.

The complaint further elucidated that Vishal thinks good of Tamils and respects them. The article had been published to intentionally slander his reputation, the spokesperson added. The actor scrupulously wanted to seek action against and slam these ill rumours.
