Ajith Feels Women In Industry Should Be More Respected: Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal is enjoying making comeback in Kollywood after a long time. She would now appear in two movies, which are Kavalai Vendaam with Jiiva and Ajith’s tentatively titled AK 57. Kajal talked about her characters in the flicks. 

“Director Deekay’s script for KV was awesome and Divya, the character I play, was unusual. I haven’t attempted such a character so far. I gave my nod immediately without any hesitation. Moreover, the film which is about relationships and heartbreaks, has the right blend of humour and modern day romance and emotions”, said Kajal. 

While talking about being part of Thala 57, she revealed about Ajith and said, “Right from day one, Ajith sir addressed me as Kajalji on the sets. I was surprised and told him that I was junior to him, and that he could call me by name! He explained by saying, ‘I will call you Kajal personally. But during shooting, the others in the unit would follow the lead actor and director only!’ He also added that he wanted things in our industry to change, and that women should be given the sort of respect that they deserve. Kajal even praised Deekay for his focus and says he knows what he wants in his movies.
