    Ajith Kumar to make public appearance at Centenary Celebrations of Indian Cinema

    Sourthern superstar Ajith Kumar is known for avoiding public appearances at film related events and awards ceremonies but this time something exceptional is going to happen. Ajith will reportedly mark his presence at SIFCC’s Centenary Celebrations of Indian Cinema today.

    The function will also be attended by President Pranab Mukherjee, Chief Ministers of four southern states, J. Jayalalithaa, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Siddaramaiah and Oommen Chandy. Celebrities like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Lal, Mammotty, Ambarish and three star sons of Dr. Rajkumar will actively participate at the event. A performance will take place at the event for a song composed by A.R. Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja. Other legendaries like Amitabh Bachchan, the big Khans and others are also supposed to be present at the event.

    Last time Ajith was spotted at the hunger protests which were organised by the South Indian Artistes Association demanding strict measures against the Sri Lankan government for its alleged warfare and also to provide support to the Tamils living in the island nation. He made his last appearance in a 2010 function hosted by the film fraternity which was organised to convey their thankfulness to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M. Karunanidhi after he granted land to film industry workers for housing projects.
