Ajith Won’t Be Playing Raja Raja In His Next With Vishnuvardhan

It is known that Ajith has collaborated with Arrambam director Vishnuvardhan. Speculations were rife that veteran screenwriter Balakumaran will portray the Billa actor as king Raja Raja Chola I in the film. But the writer clarified that the story will not be about Raja Raja.

The writer cleared that the story will be about a Chola king, but not about the famous king of the Chola clan Raja Raja. He shared that the film is in its scripting stages and he will soon make an announcement once everything is finalized. The flick will be set in the 9th century AD.

Ajith will be seen in a period film for the first time in his career. The Veeram actor has worked with the writer in 'Ullasam' back in 1997. The film got a decent response from the audiences. It will be interesting to see whether the duo will be to repeat their success this time or not. Reportedly, the film will be released by Pongal 2017.
