Akshara Haasan Or Shriya Sharma, Who Bags Arjun Reddy Remake?

It is a well known fact that actor Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv will be making his debut in Kollywood with the Tamil remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Vikram himself confirmed the news. Though the male lead has been announced, but it is still not clear as to who would be the female lead in the movie.

The original movie had actors Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey playing the lead role which propelled them to nationwide fame. Rumours are doing rounds that either Akshara Haasan or Shriya Sharma would play the female lead. Shriya Sharma is popular for playing the daughter of Suriya and Jyothika in Sillunu Oru Kadhal.

There are also rumours as to who will direct the film. Speculations are rife that Vijay will helm the movie. However, when asked from him, he said, “I just got to know about this rumour, but so far I haven’t been approached by anyone. Vikram and Dhruv are family to me, and I wish them the best for this film.”
